Authentic!

So many crafts these days are made in bulk and sold to you from an assembly line.  These aren't keepsakes or art!

I guarantee that all Intarsia are crafted by my hands and will back it up with a Certificate of Authenticity.

What Is Intarsia Wood Art?

Intarsia Wood Art  is an ancient inlay wood art that has recently been revived. It traces its roots to the 13th Century in Italy, where Domenico di Nicolo meticulously carved different woods and inserted one piece next to the other. He used wedges of cork to keep the work in place to make beautiful pictures.

How Do I Create My Pieces?

With Intarsia Wood Art I use only pine, and I stain each piece to create the look of oak, walnut, cherry, maple, and many other types of wood. This allows me to keep my prices reasonable. Instead of cork, I glue the pieces together for a tight fit.

All of my pieces are made individually, which means that you can order them customized any way that you like. Most of the time it is just a change of color, but on some of my pieces with lettering, people often ask for a change. Feel free to e-mail me using the blue link at the top of any page to ask about these special changes.

Do I Create A Variety Of Pieces?

I have a  large variety of pieces. I have over 200 patterns ranging in size from 5" x 2", to as large as 32" x 38".  Prices start as low as $10.00.

Are the Pieces Decorative?

These beautiful wood plaques can be hung anywhere in your home. There are different styles to go with any decor. They make wonderful gifts for all occasions- Weddings, Birthdays, Showers, Religious events, Housewarmings, and especially for Christmas.  My patterns include a wide range of animals, from birds to fish; forest creatures to jungle animals; marine life to pets to farm animals. There are also various religious items, Christmas patterns, clowns, landscapes and seascapes, Teddy Bears, flowers, and even people.
